What is is the site anyway?
Grobb.org (aka Grobbulus.org) is a website dedicated to the community of Wow Classic RP-PVP realm Grobbulus.
You can read/post realm news, browse/post upcoming realm events, read/write in-character journals, browse/create guilds, and browse/search characters.
Who runs this thing?
Necro built / owns it. Evira and Jansither are community managers.
Website Timeline
- The Grobbulus.org domain was registered on a whim by Necro on the evening of August 9, 2019, the same day that US RP-PVP realm name, Grobbulus, was announced. The initial idea was a place to post realm news and manage your guild.
- A day later, on August 10, the initial, limited version of the site was released on r/Grobbulus via this post.
- On August 10, Evira saw the Reddit post and reached out offering help, becoming the first Grobb.org Community Manager.
- On August 10, the in-character journaling feature and basic guild management features were released.
- On August 11, the profile and character backstory features were released.
- On August 13, themes were released, with Shadow Form theme being made available.
- On August 16, the character portrait feature was released.
- On August 17, Jansither reached out in response to the early site's Help Wanted page and offered to help as CM too.
- On August 21, the photo upload feature was released.
- On August 22, Necro grabbed the domain Grobb.org and the site switched to using that domain, chiefly because it's easier to remember and quicker to type.
- On August 24, Grobb.org powered GrobbulusTimes.com was registered as a playful competitor newspaper to the GrobbulusGazette.com, which had gone live the day prior.
- On August 24, Jansither officially became the Grobb.org's 2nd CM.
- On August 25, the comments feature was released.
